Tentative Exam Schedule & Assessment Criteria
A clear, CBSE-aligned assessment policy so families can plan and prepare with confidence — session 2026–27.
Periodic Tests (25 Marks)
Two chapters are included in each Periodic Test. No Periodic Test 4 for Grades IX and XI.

Pre-KG – Grade II
No formal examinations. Formative Assessment I: mid-September. Formative Assessment II: March.
Internal Assessment (20 Marks)
Applicable for the Term I Half-Yearly Examination and Term II Final Examination.

Internal Assessment marks, once awarded, are final and will be reflected on the report card. All students must appear for the Periodic Tests and complete the required notebook work and subject enrichment activities.
Annual Theory Exam Syllabus Distribution
Grades III–V: 20% of Term 1 + entire Term 2 · Grade VI: 40% of Term 1 + entire Term 2 · Grade VII: 60% of Term 1 + entire Term 2 · Grade VIII: 80% of Term 1 + entire Term 2 · Grades IX–XII: as per CBSE guidelines.

- A minimum of 33% is required to pass the Final Examination (Grades III–VIII).
- The Annual Examination schedule aligns with the CBSE Board Exam date sheet — a tentative date sheet is shared in advance, the final one week before exams.
- Re-examination for absentees/slow learners (Grades III–XII) is conducted on payment of Rs. 500 per subject (except students on school duty).
- Discipline Grading (3-point scale, Grades III–VIII) considers attendance, sincerity & uniform compliance, behaviour, values, tidiness, respect for rules & regulations, and attitude towards society, nation and school; students below a “C” grade in discipline may be moved to a different section for better performance.
- The school does not guarantee section allotment at promotion time.
- Answer scripts are shown to parents after the Half-Yearly Examination during PTM (Grades III–VIII); for Grades IX–XII they are shown to parents, and any discrepancies must be raised at the follow-up as marks won’t change after handing over.
- Admit cards for Grades X & XII will not be issued to students with a shortage of attendance or who missed Periodic Tests/Half-Yearly Exams; such students are also barred from excursions/celebrations.
- All Periodic Tests are compulsory.
- An entrance exam applies from Grade I onward; any child aged six or above must sit for it.
